Battery Care and Safety for your Mercedes-AMG F1 Team e-bike
Taking proper care of an e-bike battery is crucial to ensure that the battery will serve you for many years, and that you can always get the most possible power out of your e-bike.
Charge the battery regularly, even if it hasn't been fully discharged, and even if you’re not riding your Mercedes-AMG F1 Team e-bike regularly. The lithium-ion battery in your bike performs best when it’s stored with a charge between 20 and 80 percent. It’s best to recharge your battery before it drops below 20 percent, although you should fully enjoy your rides; don’t head home early just because you’re worried about staying above 20 percent.
We also recommend creating a charging routine. If you ride daily, or several times a week, consider recharging as soon as you finish your last ride. Disconnect the bike from the charger once the battery is fully charged. If you ride less frequently, you should still charge the battery to 80 percent at least once a month. Even without riding, your battery will lose some energy while sitting.
For long-term storage, charge your battery to 50 percent and then remove it from the bike.
Only use the charger supplied with your Mercedes-AMG F1 Team e-bike. Even if another charger appears to work with your bike, only the supplied charger is designed to safely charge your battery.
Proper Storage
Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Extreme hot or cold temperatures can degrade the battery's performance and lifespan. The ideal storage temperature for e-bike batteries is between 10°C and 20°C (50°F to 68°F) and you should avoid exposing the battery to temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or above 40°C (104°F).
Your Mercedes-AMG F1 Team e-bike’s battery is completely sealed from water, but avoid excessive exposure to high humidity, when possible. You can confidently ride on humid days, but store your bike in a dry environment as much as possible.
Handling and Maintenance
Handle the battery with care. While the battery in your Mercedes-AMG F1 Team e-bike is designed for the rigors of aggressive riding, the battery can still be damaged by impacts. If you need to remove the battery from your bike, avoid dropping it, as impacts could damage the battery.
If you need to remove the battery from your bike, clean the contacts with a clean, dry cloth before reinstalling. Never use cleaning chemicals on your battery.
Disposal
After several years or hundreds of rides, you may notice your battery is discharging faster or not allowing you to ride as far. At this stage, the battery may need to be replaced. Lithium-ion batteries contain materials that are harmful to the environment if not disposed of correctly. Check local regulations and listings to find a battery recycling program or drop-off site near you
Replacement Parts
If you need to replace your battery, either because it is no longer holding a charge or because you want a second battery, be sure to use only genuine replacement batteries purchased from Mercedes-AMG F1 Team e-bikes. There are many after-market batteries available from other sources, but only the batteries sold for your bike are designed to work safely with it. Using batteries from another vendor could create a fire hazard; several serious fires resulting in the loss of property have been linked to the use of non-certified e-bike batteries.
If you need additional chargers, only use those sold by Mercedes-AMG F1 Team. Other chargers may appear to work but may not properly charge your bike and could create a fire hazard.

The biggest advantage of the Mercedes-Benz x Unit 1 edition is that it connects directly to the Mercedes eBike via Bluetooth and integrates with the bike's system. If you own a Mercedes eBike, this is definitely the version to get.

A well manufactured piece of equipment. I only drove it two hundred yards (for a quick test drive) and it was so smooth and the assistance was excellent.
I have only taken the Bike out twice for a total of 45 miles. So far, the helmet and bike interface as one perfectly. The bike is agile, responsive and balanced and very fast, great acceleration. The four pistons caliber and large disc give superb stopping power. I haven't been able to take it off road because I have no fenders. This is a concern, why didn't the fenders get installed beforehand? Does the rear tire have to be dis-mounted to install the rear fender?

my first ride was 7 days and almost 500 miles in Ragbrai in Iowa seven days on the F1 turned out to be awesome. Could use a little more battery, but I charged along the way.
